| I wouldn't think so. If he was going to a private company, then it would be more likely. He was previously working with, or maybe at, NOAA and still had his site. JTWC is a bit different being associated with the Navy, but I don't think there would be anything that prevents him from continuing his website. His work on it was probably part of why he got the job. JTWC seems to have some extra rules on accessing their data. To get their best track and model data you have to get it through NOAA as the Navy server it is on is restricted from public access for those files. So they may have more rules, but he gets his data from public sources so I wouldn't see a problem with him still doing that. I thought people who worked at JTWC were from the Navy or Air Force, but maybe he is. Or maybe they have civilians too. |
