If You Live in SE LA/MS Please Be Smart

As some of you know I have been a poster on this board since 2004. I do not post much here these days as the demands of life--kids, job, etc.--have pulled me away. But I am posting today for the first time in years because I am greatly concerned by Ida's progress today and what seems to lie ahead for the storm and those in its path.
I woke up to a 45.mph, 1003 mb tropical storm. Yet as I type this we now have a 987 mb, 75 mph hurricane. Compounding my worry is the loop current of very deep oceanic heat content out ahead of Ida as she clears Cuba and what appears to be a minimal shear environment setting up over the GOM.
I realize the intensity forecast at present calls for a 120 mph storm as its peak, which woukd be bad enough. But I find that to be conservative in the face of the conditions I have described here. I worry we will see a Cat 4 or Cat 5 out over the GOM, then landfall potentially at Cat 4 with one of the nation's most storm surge-vulnerable cities, New Orleans, potentially finding itself in the right front quad of that storm.
These conditions would make for a more severe event, at least technically, than NO experienced during Katrina, which made landfall at Cat 3 and did so with the eye coming in East of NO and the right front quad of strongest winds and surge devastating Mississippi well inalnd. Yet we still saw a horrific tragedy unfold in NO.
I hope I do not need to say more here to convince anyone reading this who lives in SE LA or coastal MS to please be smart and get out now. Don't wait. Don't waver. Don't quibble. Don't procrastinate. Be Smart and go asap.
