Remembering Katrina / Monitoring Ida

I've been digging through the archives for some historical context at about 33 hours before the forecast landfall of Ida's eyewall. For comparison, see
Hurricane Katrina Archives (advisories and discussion)

especially
https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2005/dis/al122005.discus.019.shtml?

when Katrina was about 33 hours from landfall with a minimum pressure of 939 mb.

Ida's minimum pressure at the 11 am advisory is 984, but the advisory warns of
rapid intensification. Hurricane force winds now extend out 30 miles.
