It's hard to see many stars at my house too. There's the bright city lights in general and a few years ago the electric company installed a much brighter street light in front of my house too. I'd love to get out where it was completely dark. When I was really young I was in some places like that, but I don't really remember. I can see Orion and some bright stars. When the planets align some and I go out to look I am able to spot some.
I donated some stuff over the summer when I was cleaning things out. I did forget about the Christmas stuff though. I meant to donate some Christmas decorations before Christmas and totally forgot. I'll try to remember next year. I didn't do it at the time because I figured they would just throw it all away during the summer. I have some indoor decorations, but the outdoor stuff was mostly 20 years old or more and we've thrown that away in the past few years. It was a fire hazard when I used to decorate a lot many years ago, before LED lights were what most people used. |
