I find that it takes quite a few listens of a song before I actually pick up on lyrics. When I first listen to a song I usually don't seem to pay attention to the lyrics at first.

I have heard the Bob Dylan song before, or at least a part of it, but didn't know what it was about until now.

And I usually have no idea who the artist is of some older songs. Sometimes on Wheel of Fortune I see a song name and artist and then I look it up and I do know the song, but never knew the name or artist. And I really don't know the lyrics. I listen to music online sometimes while I'm doing stuff and I just listen to the melody I guess.
