I was really hoping that town was going to avoid it. I didn't even realize they had been trying to build barriers. You can't do anything about it traveling underground and popping up closer. At least people got out. I was going to say this is a strange volcano, in that it's not a violent eruption but a slower one mostly. But I do recall seeing some documentaries about Hawaii and they have had something like this before where it was slower moving. It destroyed homes and roads and they couldn't build back of course. |
