I am so glad you got to a safe place, and that you and Jim got to meet! I hope your home does okay.

Arcadia lucked out. Most of the town has lost electricity and a big tree fell across the main intersection (70 and 17...not "Jim's Corner, as I call it, but the one opposite it). Of course, I've not heard from anyone who has had problems, as they are not able to communicate. Guess I'll hear tomorrow.

Friends in north Ft. Myers are fine, and friends in Port Charlotte report that the surge hasn't yet reached their home (zone C) and appears to be slowing.

Stay safe, Chris. Again, SO glad you evacuated!

This feature works for YouTube (videos), X (formerly Twitter) (tweets), Facebook (posts, photos and videos), Instagram (posts and videos), Threads (posts), Bluesky (posts), Imgur (images and videos) and NHC Audio Briefings (mp3 files).

X (formerly Twitter) Options:
In our testing, you can't post an Instagram and Threads post in the same message. One of the site's embeds will not load.

Due to how Bluesky content must be embedded to do it automatically, technical errors may sometimes make it impossible to automatically embed it for you. If you have any issues, turn that option off and embed the content manually if you wish to do so.
