oh, I'm sorry JAC. I wasn't really fully awake and skipped right past Mikes post, although I thought I had read them all. I apologize. LOL

What could cause a single "Superstorm". The only thing I could think of would be the structure (height) of the atmosphere would have to *suddenly* change drastically to produce such a single superstorm. I could see multiple storms from a gradual change in the dynamics there, but a sudden flip so drastic? Wouldn't that require the entier artic to "melt" instantly to create such a "superstorm?" I don't get it either.
