Sounds like that line from Speed.

"Pop quiz, hotshot. There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50 miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?"

I agree that Earl has tenaciously favored a more westerly course than the models. What does that mean? It means that hurricanes don't give a rip about models so, I say we do what we always do, watch, wait and hope for the best.

As a side note, the NWS pressure maps have Earl heading sharply North after passing just north of the Dominican Republic / Haiti. The position on the 6 day maps has it just a bit west of Bermuda. This does not wash with the models so, again my point stands. We wait and see.

The Leewards PR etc are hunkering down and hoping for the best.
