This is a tough forecast, I agree Fred that anyone who's confident is not well. Today when I wrote my discussion I excluded the possiblilty for heavy snow , if any at all for Albany. I looked at like 4 different models and they all impacted NE for sure, but not so much eastern/upstate NY. I feel like alot of people just are having a hard time buying the models? My thing is this, when you have a storm that orginates in the GOM with all that moisture to tap into, and a deep trough you can expect high QPF.
I still feel like the possibility is there though for Albany, and definitly for this being a monster storm. I still feel as though we could get alot of snow, even though the models aren't indicating it. We'll have to see.
I'll be really interested to see the new models considering I didn't know RECON was flying into it. |
