"Contact" was one of the best movies I have ever seen.
Anti-matter is just matter with opposite properties.
It first was hypothesized when P.A.M Dirac inserted relativistic parameters in Schroedingers quantum mechanical equations.
I think positrons were actually discovered later from cosmic radiation decay.
When I did an experiment at Fermi lab back in the 80's they were accelerating electronics in one direction and positrons in the opposite and then looking at the what came off the collision.
It lead to the IDing of quarks
We were using mulit-wire proportional chambers back then.
So, why is it that we went to the positive matter state in our universe and not the anit-matter state?
A question yet to be answered.
