Power output from HAARP is 3.6GW.
A typical nuclear power plant puts out about 1GW.
They generate this from Magneto-Hydrodynamic generators fed from North-Slope natural gas
But thats not the best.
Once they launch a wave into the ionosphere it amplifies.
I have seen numbers around 18dB.
So, that is a delivered energy of about 300GW.
I am not sure of the amplification technique but I think it is along the lines of what is done in a laser.
A heated region in the ionosphere is created.
That means there is a large concentration of electrons.
Electrons obey Fermi-Dirac statistics. They are in a class of particles called Fermions.
Fermions spread their energy into states. Remember chemisty.
A large concentration makes bands of energy and the electrons can be excited into a higher enegy band.
They then decay and emitt a given frequency of electromagnetic radiation.
I have seen papers that show the actual transmission and ground targets that they use.
A successful experiment was run to target a buoy with a detector south of New Zealand.
The technique is call 2nd hop whistler mode.
You probable heard of whistlers when running radar in Alaska.
This is along the same principle.
