| Thanks chucky, this is a document that I had not seen before. Interesting stats. The residents of coastal counties bordering Apalachee Bay were blindsided by the unexpected rogue-wave/storm surge from hurricane Dennis when he was tracking so far away in the gulf to a distant landfall. There were no warnings and no calls for evacuation prior to the wall of surge that swept across our gulf front and caused so much damage. Here on Alligator Point, it was more like a tsunami than a hurricane. We were out of state at a family gathering when it happened and returned to find our home completely destroyed. |
