| The private sector has tried to compete with noaa for years and failed. What has the private sector contributed other than unreliable forecast's by going against the grain & getting burned. We have seen this countless times with accuweather making forecast's that are horrid calling for a hurricane in the N.E every year and TWC making every storm into armeggedon. The models have been improving every year & the forecast's get better & better by the nws. |
