at least according to stewart in the 1100pm advisory, 10/23...he indicated that the wsw and sw track for rina in the nw caribbean relied on stunted development and a very weak rina...he further suggested that several factors, most importantly, ocean heat content appear to preclude such a possibility and that the gfdl and hwrf intensities may be closer to fact than the statistical models. suffice to say, rina has some tantalizing possibilites in both track and intensity....sfla and keys, western cuba and the nw bahamas should pay close attention to the potential of a potential cat 2/cat 3 storm to our southwest and moving in our general direction this week...rich |
