Chantal will be passing through the same areas and encountering, what appears to be, for the time being, a similar steering current in the latter part of the forecast period.

Erin bent back WNW after pushing through the NW Bahamas. Eventually making landfall near Pensacola.

The models are suggesting such a scenario as possible.

Thoughts?
