The East Pacific is supposed to be the hotspot this year. But it did get started early. And it did so rapidly. That eye really popped. I was looking at it earlier today and then I took a look tonight. Wow what a difference. No threat to land though it seems, always great news. Hopefully no ships got caught off guard. I have no clue where major shipping lanes are.

NOAA predicts near-normal or above-normal Eastern Pacific hurricane season:

El Nino... generally better for us (Atlantic dwellers), not so good for some in the Eastern Pacific perhaps.
