Harvey is going to be a prolonged event for the region, so I can understand the need for rest. I had seen some of the video from the Cypress area.
I though the tornado risk was supposed to end today but I notice the NHC changed that.
1pm CDT:
"TORNADOES: Tornadoes are possible today and tonight near the middle
and upper Texas coast into far southwest Louisiana."
4pm CDT:
"TORNADOES: A few tornadoes are possible through Monday near the
middle and upper Texas coast into far southwest Louisiana."
With tornadoes, some storm surge flooding, rip currents and possibility of other winds bringing down trees after such heavy rain, still a wide array of threats from Harvey in addition to the torrential rains. People cleaning up have to be careful too, of power lines, having generators well ventilated and various other things, like gators. I saw a picture of someone who found a baby gator. |
