I feared this Yesterday

As is typical in these type storms all the hype was on the larger city, in this case Corpus Christi. Initially all the people saw little to no damage in Corpus, where the initial national news coverage was from, and some people labeled it a bust. Those locations were 30 miles from the center and having been in many hurricane zones the day after a hurricane, doing volunteer work, I can tell you that is not an indication of the devastation.

This storm is not over and I fear that we have not seen the worst of this storm yet, both in terms of what is has already done and it what it will do before it is over. I do not post in the summer because I volunteer with drum corps and traveling, including these portions of Texas getting slammed right now. The Berry Center, the last video that Chris posted, has strong meaning in our family regarding drum corps. Add to that all the friends I have in that area and the "Harold is a bust" comments get in my craw.

I think these people should volunteer for a week, or even better a month, working everyday in these areas helping clean up and I can guarantee you they will not think it is a bust. Off my soapbox now.
