A bit of a Model Shift tonight

Interesting to see the models shift a lot to the West tonight. GFS ensembles now show this thing possibly getting into Gulf. Early indications are the 0z Euro may also be shifting this more to the west. The middle consensus now seems to be scraping the Florida east coast with others missing right and others going left. Going to be interesting to see if this trend continues. If it does, then a path through the Keys and into the northern Gulf may be a possibility.
Every model that comes out seems to show a strong high sitting over the Mid-Atlantic as this thing gets into the Bahamas area, blocking a move north when it gets to that point and steering it more west. |
