Re: Check in and plans

I'm definitely preparing just in case. The closer it gets to potentially being near me, the more prepared I will get. I already had enough supplies, which is good, because a lot of stores seem to be out. Neighbor said this morning that last water was being taken out of Walgreens. (I was just there yesterday afternoon and they were stocked) I talked to her this morning about how I was using empty bottles and she remembered she had a lot in the recycling bin she can fill up, including freezing some. (if you do that, don't fill it all the way up)

But the news is showing big lines at Brandon Costco. Big line apparently waiting until they opened. Now lot is full and line of cars stretches for awhile trying to get in. Dozens of cars trying to get gas as seen from helicopter at Costco. I have a feeling it's not longer because other cars can't get in the lot.

I'm going to the bank soon. May have waited too late to get cash, might be busy. All I use is credit cards usually and those won't work if I am around and the power goes out.

If this is going to be off the coast of Tampa, and the islands in the Caribbean have not helped to very significantly weaken this storm, I'm out of here. I live about 8 to 9 feet above sea level. I'll board up. Have the pre-cut boards from Charley still. As it gets closer to potentially being near me, I'll start posting less. I haven't caught up with all the posts here yet. Now I have to go walk a neighbor's dog as I have to do at 12:30 each day this week. I told this other neighbor this morning, I might not be able to by the end of the week. I have other neighbors asking me about the storm too. Trying to tell them the models can change, as can the NHC forecast of course, but that I am definitely preparing.
