There may a silver lining for the U.S. but it wouldn't be one for Cuba or DR. And I think that's the silver lining if there is one. This storm could pull a Debby and get ripped apart by the mountains of the DR and spend a lot of time in Cuba and really take a beating. It would still come out north of Cuba but the hope is it's been ripped apart so much that it doesn't recover.

To me as a Floridian, that would be the best case for our state, but it wouldn't be good for those who live down in Cuba. We'd still get hit with TS or Cat. 1 winds, but nothing to the extent of what it is now.

I don't think this thing is going out to sea. Someone in the US is going to experience it.
