Pressure Map for Sept 11thThe 5 PM HNC guidance pretty much tanks the ground effect sliver lining. The track is off-shore North of PR and DR and the SE portion of Cuba.

There will be zero ground effect in the Bahamas, but plenty of warm water.

The Trough timing, depth and intensity are the only real steering options left I think. I do not think anyone can know just what this Trough will mean to the actual path. It is too late for Irma to fish so it is simply a matter of when and where.

I have family in Miami, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Tampa. Miami reports are bleak as you would expect. Sand bag distributions happening on both coasts, even Tampa.

I'm in Charleston SC and there is lots of preps going on already. Limited generators, longer gas lines, shorter supplies of essentials.

I am trying to remain calm, but it is very hard to concentrate on anything but Irma. IF the track is East Coast then Charleston may be in serious trouble. IF the track is central Florida, then I can't go west and I can go east, so I"m riding out whatever comes.

IF the track is west coast Florida, then coastal SC may be spared the worst.

I hated this system from day one and I have said for days that this WILL end badly from lots of people. Where those people are and how well they are prepared and how well they can come together post IRMA to help each other recover is the only thing that matters.
