My niece and her husband live in ft. Myers, she and a small menagerie  evaced to Atlanta, GA,.  Her husband stayed behind, but stayed in a house built to survive a cat 5.  I don't know the whole story but coming home was nasty traffic wise.  Now for the very interesting news.  Her house not only was untouched by Irma but they never lost power. Yet I live in G'ville and I lost power for about 31 hours.  Yes when things calm down I'll try to find out the power delay  Two other nieces never lost power no damage reported by any family members.
.  No my neighbors have not offered to help me with cleanup.  Strange people.

While out side a suv came by and asked if there was any damage.  They worked for the county, I must admit I am impressed with the action being taken by the county.

Hogtown creek usually only 2 inches deep. As you can see in these pictures here. https://www.yelp.com/biz/hogtown-creek-greenway-gainesville?adjust_creative=dWJMtmYxpd5N5yoyzSuhtA&utm_campaign=yelp_api&utm_medium=api_v2_business&utm_source=dWJMtmYxpd5N5yoyzSuhtA
