Surface albedo shows good ground heating thru west IN, south IL, and all of MO with little cloud cover. Theta-E forecast to max out over MO & IA in the afternoon. However, 700mb temps are marginal for convective initiation. Thankfully, not seeing a big twist in the Jet; so tornadoes maybe limited. Latest sounding shows a minimal cap in central IL.     |
