The message board has rapidly become blob happy. Can we please understand a few rules when it comes as a tropical meteorology? 1. When you have 40 to 50 knots of wind shear in front of a developing system 99% of the time the system will not develop... 2. When you have upper-level lows dominating the Atlantic Basin like we do right now the chances for development are almost zero. 3. Just because a computer model says disturbance X or Y is going to develop it doesn't mean that it's going to happen.
My point is this there are a number of good indicators when trying to see if a particular cluster of thunderstorms is going to develop into tropical cyclones. Please use the resources at hurricanecity and evaluate the data before posting.
