Bill,
i think the problem stemmed from
the NHC site switching their floater loop
from 97L ,to the large area of convection that
fired up over the course of the day.
leaving the floater labeled
-INVEST-with no number -
made us believe they were ready
to number it as a new one
which was not the case (even as of this morning)
the CMC model most likely had
convective feedback problems,
which added more fuel
to the fire
i understand your reasoning for this post
and common sense will prevail...
