Some electrics tid bits

Don't have a theme tonight but a bunch of little things.

1.  Red Tide has been reported in the Arctic.  So say this is rare is an understatement.  The confused initial response was that it was an oil spill.  For you older posters who have read my posts about the correlations of tropical storms to red tides, and then my concern that the Arctic is that ultimate wild card to what is going on this year . . . stay tuned.

2.  Maine also has reported a severe outbreak.  Again, these tides seem to attract big storms.  Don't have time to go into the correlated storms but I will discuss again down the road with time.

3.  There are a number of signs that the tropical storm season is about 3-4 weeks behind schedule.  The biggest forcing causing this may be the sun--as in spot less days.  We shall see.  Does the season appear and then last about 3-4 weeks?

4.  Two straight days of 109 degF and I had to be outside doing stroke and turn judging.  Man it was hot. My daughter as usual swam well, with a 100 yard fly in 1:26.  She just aged up to 9 and got yet another new 'A' time, her first in 10 and under.  8 years of swimming with the other three and never an 8 time.  She practically throws out the medal that the other kids trained years to get and never could.  It's not that cool to her.  But it remains pretty cool to me.  But it was pretty hot to be cool, pardon the pun.

4.  Anyway the Pacific high welcomes an Atlantic season, but the SOI index nor space weather has cooperated yet. Not much going on with the sun.
