All the global models have been on this, one way or another, since Thursday.
Earlier, they were showing a cold-core.
Now, most are showing an evolution to a weak warm core.
It seems like if this takes a dive south into warm water it would have a chance to develop some deep convection.
Right now it looks like if there is any precip it is stratiform due to heavy SAL.
The amplitude on MIMIC-TPW is one of the highest I have seen come off Africa.
With the associated 1010mb low offshore; reminds me alot of Bertha last year.
If I remember correctly, Bertha had less SAL however and NHC put a box and invest on it almost immediately when it got out into the water.
