Yes, there is some GOM higher theta-e air starting to develop for this to feed on.
This is a tricky forecast.
The Rex Block is key as to how it allows the surface low to move and hence how much moisture it can pull up from the GOM / ITCZ.
GFS has it phasing with a 500mb cutoff low.
However, I still don't see a strong MIMIC-TPW wave for this to feed on.
Next 24 hrs will be critical in determining what will happen.
Need to watch MIMIC-TPW closely.
