The Pensacola area shut down everything for Friday as well - municipal offices and schools -- and here it's still only supposed to be 1-3" if that (the predicted snow line keeps moving up and down like a snake).  Right now we just have a steady cold rain but supposedly the sleet and snow will start mixing in as the night wears on and that all snow will arrive early afternoon -- IF we get any.  I'm still very skeptical, most certainly as to Santa Rosa Island/Pensacola Beach (or any of the immediate coastal areas, for that matter).
