Yep, the weather man on channel 4 said the upper atmosphere is still abit warm but when the rain cools it down the rain will turn to snow.  And as far as the commute I also hopw the employers let people go so it is not a nightmare on 26 and 526 these people don't no how to drive in the rain let alone snow.
