URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 150 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 500 PM CDT MON MAY 10 2010 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF PARTS OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS SMALL PART OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS SMALL PART OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON FROM 500 PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT. ...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION... DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL TO 4 INCHES IN DIAMETER... THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTHEAST OF CHANUTE KANSAS TO 65 MILES SOUTH OF MCALESTER OKLAHOMA.
