| The lack of response by either BP or the Fed Govt is inexcusable. Take the case of the oil now washing up on the Al Coast. There have been reports for days now about a plume of oil off the Al Coast. Now oil is washing up, and there's not a boom or a Haz-Mat worker in sight. And beyond that, just common sense would tell you that at least since the oil washed ashore in nearby La., booms and other measures would be in place to protect the coast. But nothing. Of course you can't trust BP. And there most certainly will be legal and civil action coming in the near future against that company. But where is the US Govt?????? A national emergency should have been declared weeks ago. All available resources of the Coast Guard, Navy, EPA. merchant fleets, etc...should already be in place to protect the coast, but instead we have either absolutely nothing or at most the bare minimum. This is pathetic! |
