Summer of '39

My Analog for our mid summer along the US Coast in 2010: Back in Europe in '39 it is beautiful and refreshing--but with much foreboding. A time to enjoy--to travel before the impending and now obviously inevitable storm of war breaks across the continent (as it will on Sept 1st in Poland). So likewise for us on this board living in coastal communities along the American Gulf Coast. A time for recreation--for relaxation, before nature unleashes its full force upon us. We all know whats coming down the pike, even had a few opening shots fired in June along the upper Mexican coast. But time is running out--so lets lift the glass of cheer now, and I hope really come together--because the power that we're dealing with is truly awesome. In recent years whole communities, even large metro areas, have been destroyed by the force monitored on this board. I hope everyone has enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy this short respite before the storm breaks upon us. I don't think we have much time left before the full assault is unleashed.
