Re: Prefer a prolonged WNW track--no strong pick-up off Atlantic Coast

Not necessarily Bobbi (about having to be weak to take that track toward the keys). Once again, the general troughiness or weakness off the E Coast is just that, sort of general, not so well defined (nothing steep enough to really catch up a tropical system whole hog and send it out to sea). At the very least, I do not  see this system recurving off the Atlantic coast, instead I think it would be a threat from S Fl up to the Carolinas. But just as likely (perhaps more I think) would be a track WNW skirting the Carribean Islands on a prolonged WNW course heading toward the keys and the Gulf of Mexico. At this early stage this would be my preferred track. But as others have posted nothing is really certain at this stage.
