I just posted my reasoning for a Fl Straits passage in response to a post from Chucktowner. I'll reprint it here.
Chuck, I'm looking at the old and now flattening trough off the east coast. The strong high pressure behind it (bringing record heat) seems to be shifting east some. I think this will further flatten the trough off the east coast. The ULL will look to fill the void S of the trough in the Bahamas (moving that way now). I look for TD#4-Colin to follow the ULL in that same direction. I think by then there's a strong chance that the Bermuda High will rebuild some deflecting both the ULL and TD#4-Colin through the Fl Straits and into the Gulf of Mexico.
