It's time for a reality check we've had three classified systems one of which had a 947mb pressure off the Mexican coast in June. In a normal season we average 11 named storms six hurricanes and two majors. The heart of the season is from August 15 through the end of October. Nearly all hurricane activity occurs within this August 15 to October 31 timeframe. It is way too early to write the season off. Please settle down and enjoy the calm while it lasts.
