Which season would you remember more .....

A season that produced 38 storms (a new record), that had 30 TS, 8 H, one of which was a major H.  Only 5 landfalls, everything else went out to sea. Damage in the 5 landfalls was slight.  Very few deaths, less than 10 total.

OR

A season with 6 storms, that had 4 TS, 2 H, of which one was a Cat 5 that made landfall just south of Miami, with winds of 165mph, and a pressure of 901mb, crossed S FLA heading WNW and then turned NW into the Gulf, restrengthened to Cat 5, with winds of 160 mph, weakening just before landfall to winds of 140mph and made landfall as a Cat 4 near Venice, LA, heading N, then NNE near NOLA.  TOTAL DAMAGE:  100 BILLION +, more than 1,000 fatalities.

I think I know the answer.
