Thumbs up or down on Gaston?

What are everyone's thoughts on whether or not Gaston will regenerate, and when?
From the 5 p.m. 09/02 NHC discussion:
ALTHOUGH NOT EXPLICITLY INDICATED HERE...THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT
GASTON COULD REGENERATE INTO A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE FORECAST
PERIOD. THIS IS THE SCENARIO THAT IS BEING SUGGESTED BY SOME OF THE
GLOBAL MODELS.
Will also look forward to whatever Jim has to say on the subject, presumably once Earl is well on his way out of U.S. hair. This "maybe" hanging out there is a little disconcerting (emphasis on the "little," but still...) to Gulf Coast interests.
