The problem with an undeveloped Gaston ...

is that, IF, it redevelops, we now know it will be further west when this happens, again, if at all.

That problem occurred with quite a few storms over the past few seasons.

They would develop near the islands or just past the islands, or near the Bahamas.

Katrina, Rita, and Wilma all meandered across the ocean before developing.

Now, I am not saying Gaston will be any of them, but he presents the same problem, and that is the westward migration allows his chances of U.S. and Carribean landfall to ramp up significantly.

The far less certain item is that Gaston has many hot spots he could hit in those areas, once there, and if developing.

On the other hand, Bonnie and Colin were over hot water without good conditions and died.

Time will tell, but time also allows the westward progression ....
