Ok this is a trick question. Gaston lost his named status when he became a remnant low in the 5 p.m. update on Thursday Sept 2, 2010. So, If the low reforms, it will not be renamed Gaston by the NHC. It will be Hermine ....
That said, I'll give it a thumbs up and here's why.
1. It's SEPTEMBER and we've named 50% of the predicted storms. 2. 2 Tropical Depressions, 4 Tropical Storms & 3 Hurricanes to date. 3. Danielle and Earl have been majors. 5 are forecast. 4. We've been really lucky so far. GOM, East Coast & Bermuda have seen only mild Tropical weather. 5. Earl had the potential to be one of the costliest hurricanes in history save a few meteorological events that just happened to time out to perfection. If the High or the Trough had failed.....???? |
