IMHO, I feel like politics may be coming into some of the forecasts whenever a big city is involved.

I feel that whenever the models point towards a bad outcome then more time is spent on a "more accurate" forecast.

But whenever this is done it is like rolling the dice again when you don't like the results...

It is human nature to bring politics into the equation. It is subconscious.

I have no evidence to suggest that it is intentional. Except for the skeetobite animations tendency to shift left on nearly every storm.

On the other hand, the UKM model seems to show a break up of the cyclone. Who knows? ...

I wonder what level of confidence the NHC has right now, and if that level is truly represented by the size of the cone.
