ive been pretty clear on how i view a storm and damage and suffering from it... been around too long to see areas get creamed yet it being written off as not really directly related to landfall

landfall of the center is important, more for the records and historical fact
damage from tropical storm force weather in bands far away from a center mostly devoid of strong storms which happens OFTEN in Gulf storms....

the way you view a gulf storm that is lopsided has to be different from a Cat 3 headed towards Flagler Beach and watching the storms in the eye wall...

so I have said many times I am referring to the weather related to the storm but also talking weather and high surf consistent with tropical storm force weather  not a random rain storm or winds of 20 mph on a beach
