Me think the models are having a time with this one. The Global Hawk entered the Atlantic around Jacksonville and ran the forecast path of Matthew and then went north of Nicole. Now is headed back south east of the area where it is supposed to loop back.
If we still have the loop in the models with this data input into them things could get interesting. I think the first indicator will be if Nicole starts heading back SW tomorrow. The forecast had been for it to head off to NE but if it turns back SW, like the newer model runs are showing, could be a leading indicator for Matthew. |
