Personally I think Gordon was too small, weak and fast to do much to the Red Tide. If anything, additional wave action will stir up additional nutrients, feeding the bloom and the wave action on the beach will break up the organisms and aerosolize the toxin- resulting in coughing reactions. From what I saw in SW FL, wave action was minimal as wind was offshore, but Pinellas County may have had more
