I have no delicate way of putting this but last year took the wind out of me (no pun intended). I run a business and always find myself rushing to produce information due to my lack of time to put into this project. I know certain people out there appreciate the multimedia but the numbers did not indicate that. Some of my videos from Irma did well but compared to the other guys doing the same exact thing they paled in comparison. I see guys like Mark & Levi and even Mike from Mikes weather get much larger numbers & donations in fact these guys probably don't even need to go to work. Mark gets over 850 per month, Levi nearly $1500 if I did patreon I would be lucky to get $100 per month as they already don't click on the donation links as it is.. Meanwhile I do appreciate the donations that come in but quite frankly $500 to $800 per year simply can't cut it as I find myself funding out of pocket too often.. Meanwhile the live shows get crickets & the archives few views & don't even get me started on twitter it's an utter waste of time. If you don't have a PHD or pander to the media you may as well not bother. This is why I have sent emails to the list with storm info as at least those people donated some of them annually for many years. To produce time consuming videos for free only to have people criticize what you say and that I move around too much on video & that something is wrong with me makes me question the whole thing. The bottom line is I am physically & mentally worn out but I may every once in a while put together a video but not on a regular basis it does not pay. Who knows maybe when I get rid of twitter I may spend more time in here with people that actually seem to appreciate it. I HATE making post's like this I HATE begging but I also owe an explanation of why I'm not doing multimedia. Chris Hollis helping with HC and implementing some cool products is the main reason i'm still active as he has helped to automate some things & take a load off. Unless the support from the general population seriously increases I will be limited in my participation.
