Thanks chris for that graphic. Scary thing is the storm surge even if it did weaken a bit will still be of cat 4 surge. Water does not just dissipate suddenly. Katrina was a good lesson, it weakened to 125 at landfall but still had a cat 5 surge. I know gulf coast storm surge figures different due to the shallow waters, but just something to think about. This is a dangerous storm for sure
