The point at which the storm is a category 4, given the current forecast, is about 75 miles south of one point of land, and about 87 miles ESE of another point of land. That's pretty close to land. Shallower water, maybe some shear and some land interaction might help weaken it some, but I wouldn't count on it being a category two. The storm is growing in size and I don't know how shear might impact it. I think it would be unlikely to weaken quickly. But that slow movement, if it happens, is going to pile up a lot of water. Plus battering waves. It could be a long duration that it does that too, increasing the damage.
