| Thanks for checking on me. We spent today finishing preparations as best we can. We have reservations at a nearby hotel for Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday nights. Hopefully we will still have a house to go home to after they lift the mandatory evacuations. My sister is continuing on her road trip and is leaving Massachusetts tomorrow to take a route as far west as possible (I-81) to try and visit us on Alligator Point if we still have a house after Hurricane Michael gets done with it. Our house pilings are only 60 feet from the Gulf shoreline with no land masses between us and Mexico. My husband and I are both retired and in our mid-70s. We need a safer and saner place to call home. Sending all of you positive thoughts for making it through this hurricane with minimal damage. |
